Here is an overview of what to expect when you are trying to get your license to become a real estate agent on Guam.
Take the real estate pre-licensing course class. You can sign up with Guam Real estate Academy & Training (G.R.E.A.T) or with N.I.C.E. Academy. Each academy has its own set of schedule so pick what best suits your needs.
After you have taken and completed the class, you will get a Certificate of Completion.
Register for your exam at the University of Guam (UOG) website. Testing is $50 and you can retake the test as many time you need.
Once you pass both the uniform (70 questions) and Guam law test (30 questions), you can pick your letter that will state you passed at UOG.
Interview brokerages. The main thing for me was knowing how my brokerage will support me as a new agent.
Once you have picked your brokerage. You can now work on the paper works with your prospective broker. Below are the list of things you need to go to the Department of Revenue and Tax to apply for your real estate license.
Letter from Broker stating that you will be associating your license with that brokerage firm
Application that is easily downloadable from the Guam Real Estate commission website.
Passport photo
Police Clearance
$100 Fee
Certificate of completion from your Pre-Licensing course class
The letter from UOG that states you passed the real estate exam.
Once you get to the Department of Revenue & Tax, you will need to go different departments of the revenue of tax to get different clearances
Tax clearance
EIN Number
GRT Number
Go to Real Estate and Insurance department with all the clearances and all the items mentioned in #6.
They will process your papers and you might need to wait for a day or two to get your license certificate.
